Proof that cats can and should be washed.
Not only a clean cat, but a good cat.
He has been washed since he was first picked up at a few weeks of age.
He is used to it.
Good Teddy, good boy.
Now.
How do we get the owners of other cats to wash their pets? Especially if they are going to live inside with them.
See?
Even a dog person can appreciate a good, clean, cat.
He will be mine for one month.

Teddy,eh? Even in his sodden state you can tell he has his staff well trained.
As an owner (member of the staff) of an inside cat, I am sad to say we never got into the frequent bathing mode. You do have to start the bathing routine very early. We are sorry that we didn't begin to do that. We do give Hazel a good brushing almost daily.
Hazel has been a wonderful animal/companion who is a member of the family. She has been with us for about 16 years. In that time it is easy to get attached to them.
After one month, you will be looking for Teddy and wonder why he doesn't come when you call. Enjoy him while you can.
btw, he will display some most annoying habits. Contrary to popular belier, you can train cats. It just takes patience.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Jack. Teddy does know his name, comes when called ( especially when accompanied with 'din-din' =food) and fetches his favourite little soft ball when you throw it.
So far not too many bad incidences although he seems to have a fascination with closed doors...=meows till you show him inside them.

Is Teddy a lap cat? One of my fondest memories of my late Mother-in-law, Margaret, was when Hazel climbed up beside her in her chair. Margaret was so excited and pleased.
It is a fond memory. I just checked my digital photos and found that photo and another. I may have to post them, or not. In both Margaret is asleep. The one I referenced above is not too flattering of Margaret. The photos do bring back very fond memories.
Have a good time with Teddy. Try not to get too attached to him. Who knows, like Hazel, he may become a permanent resident. lol
