Aristotle: "What is common to the greatest number gets the least
amount of care. Men pay most attention to what is their own."
This is not an admirable thing.
This is one of those quotes that mean something other than what it could
be interpreted as.
As in;
"Australia, the lucky country".
This was written by one of our great home grown authors. People now
quote this as if it is 'true'...whereas it is a satirical statement referring
to how we abuse the notion of what Australia is and what it gives us.
We must be forever vigilant in our use of words.
They harm, destroy, misguide and distort.
They also can lead to honest observation, a caring notion and rally goodwill.

This posting is another example of the concept of separate realities.
Just because it is real to me, doesn't make it so, particularly if I think that an attack on it is an attack on my ego.
The greatest problems come from people trying to protect their egos.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!! It is time to live in the now. Being tied to our ego is what gives us the most difficulty.
But, hey, it won't be easy to give it up. Ego is the most powerful drug we must deal with.
