Three Men!

Peter Andren was a wonderful caring man who originally belonged to the conservative side of politics. He moved to become and "Independent" member, regarded with respect and honour by all people in Australia. He worked tirelessly for the good of his constituents and for those who could not speak for themselves.
He contracted prostate cancer which finally claimed him.

Matt Price was a wonderful WA journalist who was witty, smart and entertaining. He tried to explain the complexities of politics to a diverse audience. He wrote, reported and appeared on the ABC "Insiders" program.
He contracted brain tumours that suddenly appeared and created tumors in his oesophegus in a very short time.

Bernie Banton was a tireless fighter for the little man, the worker against the odds. He fought for those like his brother who died from mesothelioma and asbestoses.
He stood up to the 'big end of town' and Hardies. He stood up to politicians like Tony Abbott.
He was an amazing example of a good man.

All these men have died recently. Two are the same age as my own brother.
They all earned deserved and had my respect.
They will be sorely missed by their families and by strangers. Surely a mark of greatness.

My heroes are always people of heart, compassion and wit. Never 'successful', 'rich', nor necessarily 'famous'.
There is no greater reward than to be loved and admired from afar for who you really are.

An Oldie but with Modifications

Nine words women use...
1.) *Fine *: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) *Five Minutes *: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) *Nothing *: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4.) *Go Ahead *: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5.) *Loud Sigh *: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) *That's Okay *: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) *Thanks *: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.
8.) *Whatever *: Is a women's way of saying "Fuck You".
9.) *Don't worry about it, I got it: *Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.

I am an old libber from waaay back when it wasn't a dirty, misunderstood or derogatory word so putting this up on my own website is a bit of an anathema for me.
I have been through this group over and over.
I would like to clarify that for some women I have known number two is true. For me it is not.
If I say I will be five minutes I will be five minutes ( usually 4.5 minutes). Just ask my children. They know that if I say I will be there in 20 minutes I am there. I always felt that was the best way I could 'teach' them to trust me so I would have some credit when I required the trust in return. I NEVER went back on this 'agreement'. I also Never ever promised them anything I didn't/couldn't deliver. So if ( even now) I say I am going to 'promise' something they know I am fair dinkum. They could stake their lives on it.
If I am ever late ( which I never am) it is because I am, feeding the dog, washing the clothes, mowing the lawn, polishing shoes, cleaning the kitchen, taking a phone call that is important AND getting ready all at once. So while everyone else is getting ready, just looking after themselves I am doing everything else AND getting ready.

The other word that should be added here is;
Sorry.

Women always say "sorry". They are sorry if they step in front of you, if you run over their foot with the shopping trolley, if you hurt them in any way, if they take your parking spot, if they look fresh and clean, if their house is tidy, ...well for everything..the weather, the state of the Middle East, the heat, the cold, the food, the state of the economy...for everything.
This means:
Women have been bought up to believe that everything EVERYTHING is their fault. Even if they get raped, they get kicked out of a bad marriage, their children fail at school, it is all their fault...it all comes back to the "Good Book" and those that interpret it..whether it be the Torah, Koran or Bible they all strongly condemn women for ...well...for...being...
If a man can't keep his penis in his pants...well you know who to blame..don't you?
Sorry!

Pathetic.

Cr Keith Rhoades walks across the new bridge with children from the Corindi school.
Unbelievable.
We have waited in our community for 2 years...TWO years for a new bridge to be built over our little creek...
Just went and had a look.

It is tiny...TINY...I tells ya.

And they say ( they meaning the mayor of the local area) that it is going to last 100 years!!

Bloody hell...two years for this thing that can just squeeze two cars across it at once and it suppose to last 100 years???

Pathetic.
Gimme a break!!

The Winner

The image “http://www.aph.gov.au/house/members/pics/photos/83T.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
This geeky, Tin Tin look alike ( the French cartoon character) and all round professional is our new PM.
We never thought we would see the day.
When the nasty piece of selfish money-grubbing HoWARd, Bush's 'Man of Steel' crap was gone.

Kevin speaks Mandarin, he has served overseas in Stockholm and Beijing.

More info:
Kevin Rudd has been the Federal Member for Griffith
since being first elected in 1998. In 2001 Kevin was
appointed to Federal Labor's Shadow Cabinet and on
December 4 2006, the Federal Labor Caucus met for
a leadership ballot. Kevin Rudd defeated Kim Beazley
to become Federal Labor Leader and Leader of the Opposition.

Before entering Federal Parliament, Kevin joined the
Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 1981,
working in the Australian Embassies in both Stockholm
and Beijing. Upon returning to Australia, Kevin worked
for the Department in a number of positions including
the Policy Planning Bureau and was promoted to Assistant Secretary.

In 1988 Kevin took leave from the Department of
Foreign Affairs to take up a position as Chief of Staff
to the then Queensland State Opposition Leader, Wayne Goss.
He remained Mr Goss' Chief of Staff after he was elected
Premier in 1989. In 1992 Kevin was appointed Director-
General of the Cabinet Office and he remained with the
Queensland State Government until 1995.

After a period of working as a China Consultant with
KPMG, Kevin was elected to the Federal Parliament
as the Member for Griffith in the House of Representatives
in 1998 and was re-elected in 2001 and 2004 with an increased
vote on both occasions.

Kevin is married to Therese, who manages her own employment
solutions business. Therese and Kevin live with their three children
- Jessica, Nicholas and Marcus - at Norman Park on Brisbane's Southside.

In comparison Howard had lived at home with his mum until he was
into his thirties only to leave when he married.
He had never served a post outside Australia and was a professional
politician ( after a short stint as lawyer) all his life.

So glad he is gone gone gone.

Needless to say I shall be keeping a close eye on this leadership
in the hope of seeing a change in attitude. If not I shall be just as cutting
and judgmental about Kev.

Now on to more interesting times.

More interesting posts.

Bran Nue Day

The title was the title of a wonderful aboriginal musical and it suits this post perfectly.

How not to gloat.

How to stop grinning.

There is a brand new day a'dawning. It came on Saturday night with a light shower and in the morning the grass was greener, the sky more shiny and the sea bluer.

There is hope seeping out from behind the darkness. We have been in a fug, in a coma for eleven years and eight months. Who was counting? I was!

A new lightness of heart with hope for a caring and newly compassionate Australia. One that will give us back our humour, our generosity and our thoughtfulness to others.

Here she is shinning today, and there is a palpable feel all around as more people seem to be lighter in their walk, seem to be looking upward and onward, seem to be just bearing a little frisson on their shoulders.

Today we begin a new chapter that will right wrongs done in the past and forge ahead a great sensible future for our descendants.

With the unlikely name of "Kevin" we have said in a thumpingly great show of support;
It is time for a new way a new wave.

Congratulations to my fellow citizens who finally showed some guts and some heart.
Thanks to all who rang, emailed and msn'd to share the excitement.
Jess, Gus, Judy, Bec, Ros, Dave, and dear yankee Pete.
You say you are leaving us.
I loved your blog.
Visit often.

Cheers to all!

LAST TIME - WE HOPE!!!!

Hopefully after Saturday this will be the last time I will ever have to post anything about this awful Government and this nasty little grubby bum-kisser of George Dubya!!

Hopefully Australia will move on to a more compassionate and caring society once again, one who can hold its head up high in the world community once again, as an independent and reliable and free nation.

I hope against hope that my fellow citizens will not let me down this time and will move us all into the light of a new government and a new century.

May the gods of little people rise up and bite the bastards on the arse and send them to Coventry for ever and ever.

Poor Fellow my Beloved Country...indeed...let us awake on Sunday morning being able to exhale into the ether of hope and social conscience once again with a spring in our walk and hope in our hearts....

Good luck, Bon Chance to us all for we will sorely need it.

Go Kevin07!!!!!!

The REAL Three Bears Story

The Three Bears
... A far more accurate account of the events of that fateful
morning...

Baby bear goes downstairs, sits in his small chair at the table, and
looks into his small bowl which was empty.

"Who's been eating my porridge?" he squeaks.

Daddy Bear arrives at the big table and sits in his big chair.
He looks into his big bowl which was also empty.

"Who's been eating my porridge?!?" he roars.

Mummy Bear puts her head through the serving hatch from the kitchen and
yells,

"For God's sake, how many times do I have to go through this with
you idiots?

It was Mummy Bear who got up first.
It was Mummy Bear who woke everyone in the house.
It was Mummy Bear who made the coffee.
It was Mummy Bear who unloaded the dishwasher from last night and put
everything away.
It was Mummy Bear who went out in the cold early morning air to fetch
the newspaper and croissants.
It was Mummy Bear who set the damn table.
It was Mummy Bear who put the Bloody Dog out, cleaned the litter boxes,
gave the dog her food, and refilled her water.
And now that you've decided to drag your sorry bear-asses
Downstairs and grace Mummy Bear with your grumpy presence,
Listen carefully, because I'm only going to say this once.............................................

I HAVEN'T MADE THE F***ING PORRIDGE YET!!!"

Is It True?

Read about the 35,000,000 Americans who are suffering some degree of hunger, mainly as a consequence of the unfair distribution of wealth in the USA and the kind of unrestrained capitalism that prevails there.
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/111507M.shtml

This is the kind of 'future' I do not want for this country of mine, but it is where we are headed if we re-elect the HoWARd government.

Roll on next Saturday....24 November.

Women angered by silence on Iraq war

WHEN Prime Minister John Howard launched his campaign for

re-election this week, he did not mention the war in Iraq.

That omission has outraged two young Australian women —

one badly injured in the 2005 London bus bombing and

the other the partner of an American soldier who was killed in Iraq.

Now Louise Barry and Sam McMillan want to talk to Mr Howard to

tell him of the war's human toll.

They have written Mr Howard a letter and telephoned

his office several times to be told a meeting was under consideration.

Yesterday, they launched a "Hounding Howard" campaign to

put the war back on the political agenda. Brett Solomon, head

of the GetUp! campaign, said the two women knew something

about the real cost of the war on terror.

Ms Barry was on the No. 30 Islington bus in London in 2005

as a suicide bomber sitting on the floor above her blew himself up.

Her neck was broken and she spent months in hospital recovering.

Ms McMillan's story had a fairytale beginning when she met

American soldier Jacob McMillan at a bus stop in Italy. They fell in love and married.

Mr McMillan served in Afghanistan and came out with what his wife believes was post-traumatic stress disorder.

He was sent, untreated, to Iraq, where he was killed in action last December.

The two women want to meet the leaders of all political parties

to deliver a 40,000-strong GetUp! petition calling for a clearly

articulated exit strategy from Iraq. Ms McMillan said there was

no magical solution for Iraq.

"But ignoring it certainly won't make it go away," she said.

"We don't want what happened to us to happen to anybody else,

and that means changing our approach in Iraq."

Ms Barry said she wanted to pass on the concerns of

tens of thousands of Australians to the men who had

the power to help end the mess in Iraq.

Just a Matter of....

The word 'Trust' has been flying around these past three weeks since the election campaign has begun. The actual campaign 'launch' did not happen till today, by the Coalition Government. Why?
Because until that time, the PM can call an election and then the tax payer is paying for all transport/travel for him and his party to put out their message. As soon as the Launch happens the funding ceases to be!
Cor Blimey!

So HoWARd has been teasing us about 'trust' ever since 2004 when his slogan was "Who Do you Trust on Interest Rates?"
His new slogan was "Go for Growth" but it has had to be abandoned since the Reserve Bank has reported that our economic growth is too hot and has raised the rates again last week and most likely will do again next month or definitely by February 2008.

So who do we trust?

HoWARd has been banging on and on about how dangerous the Union movement is in Australia. He is pulling out all the stops for the fear campaign to bite.
He declares with a slobbering lip sucking delight that 70% of the Labor front bench have been union people.
Well der! Since the Union movement created the Labor Party in the first place waddya expect?

So who do you trust?
The Liberal Party members?
What jobs did they do before they went into politics?

Let's look at a poll on who are the most trustworthy professions.

Guess what?

Ahhhhahahahhhahahhhaaaa!

Quotes of worth

There is a sense that through judging the despair of others, the circumstances of their lives, one can be freed of the responsibility that we all have for the daily grind and horror that is living.
If we say:"It was their choice", or "It is there fault", or "They chose badly", or worse still "They didn't try, or were lazy or should just get off their backsides and DO something about their situation", then we relegate the state of our humanity to pure 'blame'.
There can be no pity, compassion, empathy, sympathy, as all these traits require the ability to put oneself in the shoes of the 'other'.

"The cruelty of human eyes that dare not touch nor pity."
Judith Wright ( the great Australian poet).

The Buddhist say that 'life is suffering'.
If this is true than those who do not, or rather who THINK they are not suffering are not truly alive. They have lost something in their connectedness to the human in themselves.

"Integrity stands on the primal matter that we found through suffering. And because of its affinity with the stuff of the earth, it links us to our grandparents, the ones who are in the earth, and our grandchildren yet to come, whom the earth will produce like flowers."
John Tarrant

If we take religion to mean something which without we would perish and fall into cataclysmic chaos, then there is no real moral stand that can be lauded as the innate and perfect heart of man. If we can stand strong, still, in perpetual determination, on our own, than like a child who has been 'disciplined' whilst in their parents domain who finally leaves their sphere of influence and has to make it on their own, who when the support systems ( ie fear, bribery etc) fall away, will slough into guilt and confusion and rampant behaviour.

"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."
-- Napoleon Bonaparte, quoted from Robert Byrne, 1,911 Best Things Anybody Ever Said (1988)

So what does religion stop the rich from doing?
NOTHING.
Exhibits:
B. Spears, G. Bush, J Howard, R. Pratt ( one of the richest men in Australia who has just been found guilty of corruption), B. Cousins ( one of the highest paid footballers in Australian sport, convicted of cocaine use etc), etc etc etc......

We have just been informed that the little creep who was hired from America to take over our Telecommunications company that was owned by the people, for the people ( Telstra) has just been given a wage rise and will be "earning" $56,000+ a week!
This slime ball has wound down and back our previously great service provider, lost ground and money and is REWARDED!

Hayek says solidarity and altruism are primitive. Employees are commodities, bought or sold, while executives command obscene salaries.

For those, especially in this election year, ( two weeks to go) who rabbit on about 'its the economy stupid' could take a quote from Einstein and contemplate it till November 24.

"Albert Einstein once made an interesting observation: everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted."

And the last quote is going to Steve Biddulph who loves not far from here, who wrote a wonderful book on 'how to raise boys', who cares for the future of this nation and for the future generations:

"If we don't stand for ultimate human values, if we lose our moral compass, then we are a country doomed to fatal division and decline. Who would even care about us?"

A Phrase/Word By any other Name

PM Little Johnny promised before he was elected in 2004 to "keep interest rates low". He says he said that he 'promised to keep interest rates at lower levels'. Semantics are his best suit.
The interest rates are no longer within the power of the PM. They are (since the floating of the Australian dollar on the open market back in the Keating days) buffetted by the world markets, US markets, and finally set by the independent Reserve Bank.
It is the fact that he made a promise he could not keep.

He, last week, apologised for the rise.
He said the word he could not use for the stolen generation, the word, "Sorry".
"Sorry about that".
Now he says he is not 'apologising' at all. He merely said he was 'sorry for the pain' some mortgagees were feeling at the 6 rate rise in 3 years. He said there was a difference between "sorry" and "apologising".
We all scrambled for our dictionaries. The media, journalists, lexiographers and the common Aussie...well us, in fact.
Mmm. Very interesting.
Playing with words while Australian mortgage belt burns with fever!

Watching the American newscast explaining 'water-boarding' and its implications, its uses, its meaning and it purpose has again put into confusion what is really meant by terrorism, terrorists, investigating, interviewing and torture.

What does; "Having this in our tool kit" really mean?
When something is broken we can use a tool to fix it?
When something is missing we can reach into a kit and find the missing part?
When some knowledge is inconsistent we can fumble around in a bag and find the piece that explains it?
When someone won't tell us what we want to know/hear/act upon we can choose something else to help them tell us?

This tool kit may or may not include...torture.
This is a misnomer.

What is another name for;
"Extreme forms of duress"
"Selective targetting"
"Enhanced interrogation techniques"

What are these euphemisms?
They are 'torture' and 'assassination'.

The United States are at the moment in the throws of discussing these terms and what they mean in relation to the dirty business of getting people they have 'captured' to say stuff they can use so they can then use violence against another country, another religion, another creed, another land, another 'other'.

I heard a member of the US armed forces who has been trained in 'waterboarding' and has had it performed on himself as well as having done it to others talk about how it is really 'torture'.
The opposite view came from a 'lawyer' (Neil Livingstone) who says he has never done it, nor had it done to him, but it is NOT torture.
He was the one who said;'It is just another thing in our tool kit',
The CPO was asked; "Do you believe that water-boarding is a sure way of getting information?"

He said; "Definitely not. The person will either tell the truth, tell a part lie, tell a total lie or say what they think is wanted for the torture to stop. You cannot be sure which it is as it only takes, usually, up to 2 minutes for someone to 'break' under this duress. Anything you hear cannot be of any use under these circumstances. The information is less than helpful."

When "Right to Life" is mentioned you will note that it is only the 'right to life' of an embryo. Not 'right to life' of the poor, the needy, people in war zones, Iraqis, Afghans, the Sudanese, the starving, the destitute.
Maybe the term 'right to life' should be changed by those 'good Christian folk' as being the truer term of 'a woman's NO right over her own body'. If they actually took to helping the 'right to life' of those already born and alive and being slaughtered, forgotten, neglected, vilified, hated and reviled they may have more credence.

How about "Liberal" in the Australian parlance?
The "Liberal Party" in Australia is the least liberal of all the political groups here.
It maybe should be called the "Conservative/Status Quo" Party.

When the government introduced 'Workchoices' into the lexicon of Australian working parlance it was a euphemism for "Choices for Employers to do what they want with workers". It had nothing to do with the worker themselves except to warn them to never feel secure in work, never expect any fairness in the workplace.

So the spin of "Mission Accomplished" emblazoned across the bridge of a ship, the screech of 'War on Terror', the cry of "Attack on democracy", are all but examples of Orwellian parlance.
Remember that when 'they' say they are curbing your rights to keep you safer, that 'they' are putting up walls/ fences to keep you protected, that they are really doing the opposite.
When they say; "Trust me"...let the bells and whistles of warning scream into your soul!

Be very very careful what you believe. It most likely will be 'spin' for the sake of those wanting more power.

How to Win a Fight With a Conservative is the ultimate survival guide for political arguments

My Liberal Identity:

You are a Social Justice Crusader, also known as a rights activist. You believe in equality, fairness, and preventing neo-Confederate conservative troglodytes from rolling back fifty years of civil rights gains.

Rest of Your Life.

When there is retirement in the offing, when there is a chance to cease the previous daily grind, when there is an illness that changes the direction of your life, when there is a change of circumstance such as children leaving home, parents dying, marriage break down, change of house, change of towns, it may be put to you:
"So what are you going to do with the rest of your life?"

My brother retired 'early' because he could. For six months he was happy to do those things he wanted to do - not get up at 5 am, travel around Australia, travel around the world, help the kids out, change their light bulbs, help them choose a new house, help paint it, give advice....then the guilt and fear set in.
He got a 'part time' job. He doesn't consider it a job. He considers it him just living..it being incorporated into his life rhythm.
It is 'pin' money because he doesn't need the capital. He does it to be able to have an answer to 'and so what do you DO?' His wife still works but is going to 'retire' soon. That actually means that she is going to work part time in another facility.

My neighbour is retiring. I saw him yesterday. He has ceased his previous job and is now "on leave" until January next year : "When all the super and the pension has been sorted out". Then he will be 'officially' retired.
His wife retired two years ago but she has been doing 'part time/relief' work in the mean time.

My father retired to care for my ailing mother, so he never really did 'retire'.

My grandfather never 'retired'. He was a farmer. He worked the farm till his death at the age of 80.

In the 'olden days' most women didn't 'retire'. They were housewives and mothers and continued their work till they got sick or died.

Now more women are in the workforce than ever before. Those who aren't are now looking after elderly parents, or grandchildren. Only those who are wealthy refuse to do either preferring to help look for a "good" nursing home or child care. They then slide into the car/SUV/Winnebago ( the passenger seat of course) and are dragged around the countryside, doing the cooking, cleaning, washing, organising for their oh so dear hubbies who are really 'retired'.

My great aunt whose grave I found on our last trip, never married. She was expected to stay at home and help out on the farm. It was not a very lucrative property. She looked after the house, my great grandparents, the visitors, the chickens, the calves and helped with the milking ( hand milking in those days).
When my great grandfather was standing around the lounge room fireplace chatting to his brother and his mates she overheard him say that women weren't much use on a place like this. He talked about how he never had much money and how hard he had it.

Being a quiet and reserved woman my great aunt left the room. She suddenly re-appeared.
She said;
"Now you listen here. I have been a slave to you and this farm."

""Now now my girl," replied my great grandfather.

"NO you listen," she said.

"All these years I worked for you. I cooked and cleaned and did the menial tasks around here. I never ever saw one shilling, ever!
The first money I ever saw of my own was when I turned 60 and as eligible for the aged pension. That was the first time I had anything of my own. So don't you go around saying how hard you had it. I was a slave for you. I worked hard and you never noticed".

With that my great grandfather for the first and only time in his life was silenced.

Today they say that 'pensioners' are a drain on the country. They say that aged pensioners ( apart from the glorious and upraised 'self funded retirees') suck off the teat of this great nation.
So to placate the naysayers and the great SFR's they have given the rich all the 'benefits' of the poor aged pensioner. ie cheap pubic transport ( not that they would be seen dead on public transport especially a train), discounts at certain places, bulk billing ( not that they ever need it since they all belong to the Private Health funds so they can get their rebates),discounts for electricity, water, rates, ( those they will gladly grasp).
The SFRs are the first into the better nursing homes, the first to throw aspersions to those who are needy and require special help in getting into (now scarce) public housing.

I had a dear elderly friend. She was a farmer's wife. She worked for years on their struggling dairy farm. He got rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. She tried to keep the farm going. When her husband died she gave it to her son. He and his wife chucked her off. She went to live with her sister who treated her like a servant, sending her from the room when visitors came. She cooked and cleaned for her for a year of so then was turfed out and wandered around until she got into a caravan in a park.
She finally got a little one bedroom unit in a aged peoples housing complex. We went and saw her. She waved her arm around her little flat. She said;
"This is the first time I have had anything of my own. This is the first 'new' thing I have ever had. I have a new lounge, a new bed and a new little table."(It seated two).
She was 65.
She lived until she was 81 finally going to another town to be with her daughter who was a nurse and who cared for her in her final days.

"What are you going to do with the rest of your life?"

No one dares say; "Nothing".

So I have to make it up.

I have been through enough.

I don't find anything in 'working' for pay.

I don't find self esteem, pride, or even financial reward. Any money I have earned has always been swallowed up in bills and needs.
The little pension I get now is enough to do the same, without the hassle of other people at work (office politics), harassment from thoughtless and ungrateful bosses ( men), travel time, lunch money, work clothes, petrol etc.

So after raising kids, working now and again, caring for my ill husband, aged father...now?

What am I going to do with the rest of my life?

What "REST"?

This could be the rest now.
The past week could have been the 'rest'.

What I am going to DO with the REST of my life?

Live till I die.

Thoughts On Summer

There's a space inside based on the parental love
From which everything else emanates.
Outward, ever out, upward
The cool dark of a summer's evening
Singing full of frogs and cicadas
surrounds the orbit of the inner self.

At times, when little, the edges were
nothing but filigreed hopes
flitting, flying, floating into the future.
At other times, blurred and smudged by
the momentum of experience.

Within those walls of that expanding
ever increasing time of life
Came the burgeoning happening of hope
then promise, then love.

The expression of this made flesh moved beyond the parental love
Enveloping, filling, overflowing the void that once was
Moving again toward the end time
to where they now are-
Silent, deep, aching for the sounds
of frogs and cicadas -
no longer.

So this is it -
beginning, hope, basic love,
flowered to flesh and ending in
Sweet sweet soft succouring silence.
